This cycle track has been built on the former Val Brembana railway line, now dismantled, and was officially opened on 20/10/2007.
Its tunnels are all lit, gradients are gentle (3% approx.), in some areas it crosses car access roads but most of the route is cycle and pedestrian only and both its track surface and its landscape are very pleasant.
The cycle track can also be used by pedestrians but there is no specific track for them. Those on foot must therefore take care and can a bell with them.
There are three gravel road sections between Zogno and San Pellegrino after which the itinerary is fully tarmacked.
